Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while residents in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to water systems, per reports from local authorities.

Simultaneously, a minor was fatally injured in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, as reported by regional authorities.

Russian forces has increased strikes on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in providing defensive weapons and enforcing restrictions," he wrote in a online statement.

He said that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty missiles struck energy facilities, characterizing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to restore power.

A wave of strikes damaged power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, according to city authorities.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region endured intense attacks throughout the evening. A minor lost their life and multiple civilians were injured.

The attacks come after evenings of aerial attacks in the area, portions of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to detect.

Government officials told journalists that Moscow was deliberately attempting to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and government agencies were anticipating further attacks.
